Trying to find the death of Gladys Mace nee Lincoln born 1923
« on: Thursday 16 September 21 19:38 BST (UK) »
Hi

Hoping someone can find the death of a 2nd cousin. Gladys Lincoln was born in Norwich on 11/5/1923 to mother Florence ‘Florrie’ Lincoln.

Gladys married Ronald George Mace in Q2 1945 in Norwich. He died in Norwich in 14/10/81.

I cannot find a death for Gladys Mace in either ancestry or Freebmd. Also could someone check if they had any children together.

Many thanks.

There are two likely births one in 1946 and the other in 1953 Norwich.  I won't put their names as they could still be alive.  You can check this on freebmd.

Not so far finding a likely death.  She may still be alive.

I think Gladys may still be alive, there is one on the electoral roll with a date up to this year.  Check Find My Past for the full details.

There is a probate entry for Ronald - administration only - no will.  You could download a copy for £1.50 to see if Gladys is mentioned.  It may narrow down her death.

As Girl Guide says - your best bet is to find the 2 children as Gladys & Ronald could have divorced before his death or she could have remarried after his death

Thank you for your posts. You are right that she could still be alive. I get so immersed that I don’t think of the obvious. She was born in 1923. You put 1946 and 1953 down as likely births, I am a little confused.

Do they had 2 children together? They would most likely be alive.
Thanks for your help.

I get it. You are saying possible births of 2 children 1946 and 1943.

Thanks,

Just thinking, I thought the 1939;register only included the names of people if they had past away and were not still alive? Feel sure I saw the name on the 1939 register.
