Pontefract All Saints Parish Records

Looking for a burial in 1837

There's a John Mckenzie/Mackenzie died 1837, I can find limited details from BMD on both Ancestry and Find My Past, but no entry on GRO (I've chased them up)

I'm trying to ascertain age at death to see if this John Mckenzie could be one of my missing ancestors

I've looked through images of burials for Pontefract St Giles/St Marys, but for 1837 i can't find any records for Pontefract All Saints, there don't seem to be any available.

Anyone know of an alternative source that might give me a lead ?

The death was registered as Pontefract registration district so could be in any of these places

Snap, just found the same entry!
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Was he the father of Mary who married George Dickinson in 1847 - if so he is stlll alive in 1841 and in 1851 he has grandson Edward Dickinson staying with him.  That John was apparently born in Canada c1787

ADDED Possible death
Mar qtr 1878
Mackenzie    John   age 92
Pontefract    9c   65

Hi Daisy, I'm hoping that's not the one, I was rather hoping to find someone in the 60's to 80's

Hi Rosie

I'm hoping that he turns out to be the Grandfather of Mary

I already have Mary's father, John McKenzie born 1786 Newfoundland, died 1878 Pontefract.

I also think I have Mary's Grandmother, also Mary, born circa 1765 (not sure where yet) died 1849 Pontefract
