please can we date this photograph ? and does any one know any thing about the photographer ?? reading berkshire blagrave street

Walton Adams Studio at 27 and 29 Blagrave Street, Reading. He was based at that location from 1886 until 1922 when he retired. So the OP's photo probably dates from 1886 to 1890, due to the absence of balloon-shaped sleeves, more common during the 1890s.

Well it's no later that 1890 as the nineties had very different sleeves. I did say 1887-1889. Take a look at some of the previous photos of that era that we've dated over the last 15 years or so  ;D
