Perhaps if you tell us what documents need looking at and give approximate dates without mentioning any names so we have some idea what you are wanting  :-\

Frances Joseph O’Reilly married 1953, St Giles, Edinburgh, dob 1923, dod 1999, mums maiden name Sweeny, I have his wife’s name, she could be still alive. It is to confirm his wife’s parents names.

At the moment there is very limited access to the search rooms at Register House in Edinburgh due to the pandemic.

Your best way would be to obtain the marriage certificate for yourself at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk  It will cost you £12.00 plus postage.

Very easy to use and they aim to respond within a couple of weeks.
