Alice GOULD or Gold, from PADSTOW? born/baptised about 1788 - 1790
« on: Friday 24 September 21 20:07 BST (UK) »
Seeking any clues about the beginnings of Alice GOULD* born c. 1788 - 1790.
*Sometimes written as Gold, but Gould is believed to be the correct name.

She wed James Child in 1809 in East Stonehouse Devon.
[I don't need any details forwards from there.]

There ought to be a close connection with Goulds in Padstow, Cornwall, who also live & work in Tenby, Pembrokeshire. Shipwrights? Blacksmiths? Ships' carpenters?

If you find any Goulds at all who have both a Padstow + Tenby profile, please let me know.

While I'm here, I've been told that the Record Office for the Plymouth area has withdrawn many things from sites like Ancestry, so that it can charge people to view the parish records it holds.
Is this true?

Thank you for helping, good wishes
