Latin Probate entry
« on: Sunday 26 September 21 11:17 BST (UK) »
Hello,

yet again I'm struggling with a 1728 Latin transcription - see attached image.

Any help appreciated - only the English transcription required.

Regards,

Janet

Pontefract with Halifax, in the year of the Lord 1728
On the first day of the month of August in the aforesaid year, administration of the goods etc. of Samuel Greathead, late of Morley in the diocese of York, who died intestate (as it is stated), was granted to Samuel Greathead, son of the said deceased, having first been sworn before the Worshipful Thomas Hooke, Master of Arts, Surrogate etc. (saving etc.); an inventory of more than 20 pounds was presented, and security was offered.
