KELLER baptism 1908
« on: Monday 27 September 21 05:52 BST (UK) »
Hello,
Would someone please be able to tell me what the penciled word above "Keller" is? This is a baptism from St Silas, Waterloo (Sydney) in 1908.  Clement KELLER's father is in America, his mother's maiden name was TAYLOR so I'm assuming her mother was present at the baptism, but just not sure what the word is?

Thanks in advance.

Gosh, this is a tough one  :o

Linequish or linguish, neither of which makes any sense  ::)

It seems to have been added at the same time as the Mrs. Taylor name.  It's not quite clear enough is it and looks smudged towards the end of the word.

Tantalising isn't it!  Is it an important word or not  ???

Perhaps someone else may have some suggestions.

"Living with Mrs. Taylor"

Took a lot of staring to finally read it! Not sure if they dropping the n, or it got smudged.

Oh that's brilliant bbart! Thank you. And thanks to everyone for helping.  :D

The rest of the penciled addition says:
"Mrs Taylor    mother    husband in America"

So "living with" makes perfect sense. Thanks again!

Certainly is. Always amazes me how I can stare at something for ages and not understand it. Knowing now what it is I can't understand how I didn't see it!
