I thought that but I have read that list wrongly in the past  :)

There are a few published trees but no further information and indeed some wrong information about these various Foxtons.
I can’t see anything in Irish Newspapers snippets.
If Georgina was a Foxton by birth it also potentially complicates things.

There is also a will for a Thomas Foxton 1900 Wexford that might be worth a look.(could be filed late)  on Find My Past there is a tab to view this one.

I can’t see this but there is this for William Foxton with Thomas Foxton as Primary Beneficiary/Executor. I think it is the wrong family though.

I understand that a single extract from the 1861 census for RC families in Enniscorthy, Wexford still exists... this may have some information if anyone has access to it?

See this thread from 2015 for information-

Thank you very much to all those who have contributed. I had most of the information already but it is good to have confirmation.
The birth record stating Georgina (mother) as 'formerly Foxton' is proof of something I'd been aware of as a possibility - but didn't believe was correct - just assumed that someone had put married name instead of maiden name.
So I'm not really any further forward (or even backward!) with my father's distaff line .
