And that John Scatcherd, lately of East Keswick in the West Riding in the aforesaid county, yeoman, on the first day of March in the third year of the reign or our lord James the Second [1687], by the grace of God now King of England etc., at Otley in the West Riding in the aforesaid county, having conversation with a certain [...] Pick about and concerning the Great Seal of England, then and there spoke and uttered the following seditious words in English, namely: 'I (meaning the aforesaid John Scatcherd) doe not care for the Kings broad seale nor never a Seale in England'; in contempt of the said lord King and his laws and against the peace etc.

I’m unsure of the first name of the witness Pick, which is contracted. It’s also in the margin. Maybe someone else will get it.

Looking at the full page, the short line at the foot (= puts himself before a jury, not guilty) relates to the following entry, not this one. I haven't yet deciphered the short line at the top of this entry, but it may be a 10 shilling fine.
