Mention of Richard Newton Newman and probable siblings in a legal notice in the Ceylon gazette in 1896 (page 2) : http://220.247.247.85:8081/bitstream/handle/123456789/3394/5402-ii.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y

Also a reference to his insolvency but this one is very slow to download: http://220.247.247.85:8081/bitstream/handle/123456789/20885/6977_II.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

I request help with discovering whether the Ceylon labour commissioner Norman Rowsell (1855-1919) of Abbotsleigh estate and his wife Florence nee Congreve had a third child. While in Sri Lanka I saw a contemporary report that says they did but it did not name the third child and I only have records of their first two children: Vere Norman Rowsell who was born 15 August 1887 at Abbotsleigh, and Esme Maud Rowsell who was born about 1891 presumably also in Sri Lanka since that is where her parents lived at the time.

Family letters refer to a possible third child, a daughter who they refer to as Bunnie which might be a nickname for Bernice. Her birthday is on 20th May and I think she was born in Sri Lanka in 1898. I know she was married and lived with her husband in India during WW1 but I do not know who her husband was or whether they married in India or Ceylon. Their first child was named Bill (William) and was born before 1918.

I would appreciate any help identifying this Bunnie or the exact DOB of Esme.
