Hi The name Nightfall has come up as a possible Marriage  in my research to Florence Emma Cross born 1901,i but can't seem to find anything associated with this name..Walter William nightfall born i1898 Littleport..Can anyone suggest an alternative variation of the name or possible do a look up for me..Thank you.

Could the surname be Nightall - looking at the original page for Walter William's death in 1964! 


Added:  I have submitted corrections to FreeBMD for the four instances where Nightfall should be Nightall.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

If you search for Nightall I think you will have more luck!

To start you off, a possible birth:

March Q 1898
Nightall Walter William Holbeach 7a 418

You should then be able to trace him in the census, the 1939 register and find his marriage, death and probate.

Did you find all of his brothers and sisters?  All have mothers maiden name Crabb
