Caroline Emma Mansell Death
« on: Monday 04 October 21 16:25 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the death of a Caroline Emma Mansell.

Born Caroline Emma Boon, birth reg. June qtr 1859 Aston 6d 273.

Her baptism 30/6/1862 at St Martins, Birmingham says birth 30/6/1860.

Last known 1911 living at Cherrywood Road Birmingham with her husband who died in 1921 at Bankes Road, Small Heath, Birmingham.

I did find a Caroline Mansell marrying a William Hodnett in 1921.

Edited She is not mentioned on her husband's Probate 22/4/1921 Birmingham.

says birth 30/6/1860.

Have you checked the 1939 register to see if she was still alive then?

Possibly not the 1921 marriage to William Hodnett - 1939 entry gives birth date of 21 July 1891.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

She was a spinster and yours was a widow so not her I'm afraid.

1939 and using just Caroline and date of birth 30 June 1860, 5 entries - 3 of them single, the other two are widows, but nothing in the Midlands.

Because she is not on Richard's Probate does that mean she may have died before.

BUT - she didn't register her own death, did she?
