Looking for my 3rd Grandfathers grave Somerset
« on: Wednesday 06 October 21 04:29 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone :-* this is my first post.
I am looking for my Great, Great, Great Grandfather, William Dunn's grave.
He passed away on 23/04/1873 in Wiveliscombe, Somerset but I can't find his grave anywhere on the net.
If someone can tell me where to look, I would be eternally grateful.
Thank you
Jennifer

FindMyPast has burial in Wiveliscombe on that date. That must be St Andrew's - the church website has some contact details which might help you find out if there's a grave map or a headstone (don't get your hopes too high - we have about 700 headstones in our churchyard but there have been over 5000 burials since registers began). https://wiveychurches.org.uk/

Image for the burial is available on Ancestry.  Information as submitted - William Dunn of Wiveliscombe, aged 77 - 23 March 1873.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
