1891 Census - Thomas Lister

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble finding a census for 1891 for a Thomas Lister (born 1853 in Cardiff, Wales). He was in Gisburn, Yorkshire in 1881 and worked as an engine driver.  His wife is called Rosina/Rosey and was also born in Cardiff. They had 2 children in 1881: Sarah A Lister and Rosey Lister.

In a 1901 census I found Rosina as a widow and her 2nd youngest child Nellie was born in 1890 in Cheshire, hence posting this here. Judging from the 1901 census, Thomas and Rosina had children born in various counties so it could be elsewhere (Cardiff, London, Derbyshire and Christchurch). Thomas seems to have enjoyed travel, much like his father.

1891 census ref 2761 4 1. Found on Findmypast as Tom SISTER. Cannot find on Anc however.

I wonder how many births I’ve probably missed on my tree with some dying young. Sad to see them dying as kids but it did happen.

I’m on Ancestry. Any clue what keywords would get me to the image, John?

Strangely, I didn’t find any will/probate information for Thomas. Would have been useful.
