You can get a free trial on BNA, alternatively your local library may have access

Thanks Rosie.
I can hardly believe that it has taken me seven or eight years to find the info that I posted.
Probably due to my informant giving me incorrect info.
The thing is I have got a number of leads that I wanted to check out and was going to wait until the next census was published. or, should I bide my time and hope an offer turns up?

As I have had a BNA sub before I am not sure that I would be illegible for a free look.
I do not live in The UK and can not get to a library.I am hoping that some kind person may send me a message from out of the blue, as somebody did when they sent me the info that Ramsay’s young brother was killed when he was run over by a car outside Salt Hill in the 1940s.

MISS JUNE MASSEY, a West
End dancer, whose home is
at Oakfield-road, West Croydon,
and Mr. Ramsay Marsh, 33-years-
old bookmaker, of Wellington-
street, Slough, had a miraculous
escape early on Monday morning
when the Jaguar car in which
they were driving to London
skidded on the wet road surface
on the Coinsbrook By-pass, Bucks,
crashed into a tree and over-
turned. The car was wrecked.
Both were taken to Upton
Hospital, Slough, and Miss
Massey, who was suffering from
cuts on the legs and shock, was
discharged on Wednesday. Mr.
Marsh had a broken collar
bone.
Miss Massey, who is 20, has
always lived in the Croydon
district. She was educated at
the Coloma Convent Grammar
School, Tavistock-road, Croydon,
and now dances modern ballet
in cabaret at a West End night
club.
Yesterday (Thursday) she was
said to be "much better", but
with seven stitches in her leg,
her dancing has had to be post-
poned indefinitely.

Thanks very much for that GR2.
Though, I think that this story could have been published elsewhere.
A distant relation told me that it was in the Daily Herald, and , a I think he said that there was a picture accompanying the story.  Abt. Seven years ago I went to archive at Bradford and with the help of the Head Librarian couldn’t find anything that correlated. Which indicates that I was either under the wrong impression, or, misinformed, or, the story may have been published elsewhere.
My informant told be that Ramsay was accompanied by a lady snake-charmer;
I think that might have been his northern SOH.

I have looked at November in the Daily Herald putting June, Massey, Ramsay, Marsh, Croydon, crash and dancer into the search box and nothing comes up there. I will have a look and see if I can find a reference to the exotic lady after she resumed work.

It is possible that June married Basil Wellspring in 1961 and died in 1987

The story may also have been covered in the Croydon Advertiser. I don't know whether it's been digitised. If not, you could ask Croydon Local Studies, who should have it on microfilm.
