Do you know much about him, his occupation for instance, did he marry or serve in the war?

I know nothing at all apart from his date of birth.

There is only 1 Horace Coppard  born within 2 years of 1918 on the GRO website.
 I would suggest that you need to buy both the birth cert in Bromley for 1918 and the marriage cert suggested here.

Family trees on Ancestry have Horace Coppard/Horace Edward Coppard as one and the same person.

In 1939 Horrace is an Electrical Engineer, living in Chislehurst in Kent with Horace E age 43 and Lily age 41 WEEDON. The same date of birth.

It looks as if there may be illegitimacy somewhere.

He was born in 1918 the 19 May According to the 1939 Register.

You say you have already enquired about the Horace who died in Carmarthen. Where have you got the information that he was born in Wales. There is no birth registered there.

I got in touch with the library in Carmarthen and they advised me that Horace was actually born in Wales🤷🏻‍♀️

 Horace E Weeden married Lily Salmon in Bromley reg district in 1922.

That's Horace and Lily with Horace Coppard in 1939.

I would assume that the library has made a mistake. What records did they send to you to prove?
