I know his full birth name would just like a certificate.

You appear to have a family tree on Ancestry and already have a copy of the original birth certificate  ???

Debra  :)

This and other trees state he was born Joseph Orson Dec.1920 Chorlton, mmn McLoughlin and that parents weren't married.   If that is so, just order a certificate in the usual way if you have not got a copy.

Was Joseph Orson the son of Leonard Orson & Margaret McLoughlin who married in 1915.  He appears to have 2 sisters and a brother.  Father Leonard dies in 1933, mother Margaret has a possible two children (maybe both of the daughters) with her in 1939

Leonard wasn't the father. Only the mother Margaret ORSON formerly McLOUGHLIN is named on the birth cert.

After reading the linked thread, it seems OP only has the adoption certificate with his adopted name - the only way to find out his birth name/details of birth is from his official adoption records (this was referred to in the other thread back in 2012).

Only his official adoption records can give you the information you want. (Apart from having a different surname he may not have been a 'Harry' at birth).

Yes this is what I meant, sorry Ive had difficulty with my password to log in on my phone. Harry Dray was born Joseph Orson just want to know if I would be able to fins his original birth certificate as I have the adoption paper and his new one .

Thats correct Leonard was in prison for bigamy with another wife at the time he was still with Margaret. Seems Margaret had a brief affair with Arthur Edward Rogers and as a result my grandfather was born, Arthur went to married another lady before he was born, and Margaret gave him up for adoption when her husband was released from prison :(
