Hey all! I've recently started down the trail of deciphering my family history, and was hoping that some of you would have a better idea of what some of these things may mean than I do.
The person I am researching was in the RAFVR, and oddly enough was commissioned, and mobilised in September of 1939 only to be stamped demobilised in October of 1939. In which three years pass until he is then again remobilised in September of 1942 then demobilised again in 1943 being released from active service and reassigned to the education service.
Based on other information that I've deciphered I believe that he began to suffer from vertigo in November 1942, and was stationed in Torquay receiving medical help from something labelled as MHFA which I assume to be referring to Mental Health and First Aid, and was subsequently restricted to educational duties being posted to the 13th Internal Training Wing who were also stationed in Torquay - that is until they disbanded in which he was appointed to the Royal Air Force Education Service and served until he relinquished his commission in 1947.
Below I have some things that I have been - as of yet - unable to decipher
-
13 October 1947 showing nothing in line voluntarily admissible? is what it might say
I thought perhaps this could be 402 Squadron, but then again I can't think of a way that the acronym S.T.T. could stand for squadron, and I am also unsure as to what the meaning of the label listed with the number 24 could mean. I would also assume that "educ just" could mean just educational duties - though this is not where I have got the evidence to substantiate my claim that the was moved to educational duties.
I am also struggling to understand this one. The only thing I can really make out is
"service in", and
"The Includes" Thanks so much to anyone that can help me understand what these things might mean!
