Thanks again Annette for your extra info.
Confirming his place of birth as 'Cauldhame' guarantees that he is the right person.
While it's nice to have a town or village named as the birthplace, or even a hospital, it is really nice to have the parents place of residence at the time of the childs birth. Having that information allows a family's movement to be traced.
Thanks again.

Robert.

Hi Neale. Thank you for that extra info on Alexander.
The name 'Reid' was a bit of a surprise as it is not a name that appears anywhere in the Stevenson tree.
I notice also that his place of death differs from his home.
I will have to get an Australian map up on the screen.
Story in the Stevenson family is that he was hit by a car while crossing the road.

Once again, thank you.

Robert.

The bmd index would suggest this Alexander died in the hospital. The age at death (maybe estimated by the hospital) does not really fit with the birth date you gave above.
Where does the information about his death being in 1952 come from? Maybe not the right one?
