FindMyPast are suggesting that the George Plummer bn Stepney c1766 occ Sawyer is still in Stepney in 1841
HO107/ 714 Book 8 Folio  5. Page  7

The baptisms in Stepney that you mention have George being 40 days old  (1764). and 18 days old (1768).  I would suggest that the first one possibly died in infancy
