Hello Sandra,
You have done another marvellous job of tracking this family. Thank you for all the obits which are wonderful to have to track the family.
According to an online tree, William Watterson and Margaret Fitzgerald had two more children both of whom died in year of birth - Annie aka Anna in 1882 and Henry aka Thomas in 1887.
In all of this wonderful research, we have never found the maiden name of Alexander's wife Mary. I wonder if they married abt 1854 in Philadelphia or in Ireland before emigration. Thinking Philadelphia. On the same day that Alexander was found drowned June 3, 1867, there were several people found drowned. I wonder what caused that.
Thanks again, Sandra.

As per Reply #16, there is a George Waterson, stone mason, at 1430 Richmond, Philadelphia. I think I know who he might be but can't find him on the 1870 census. I think he was born 1834 in Pennsylvania, son of James and Mary, both deceased, and he was a stone mason. Can anyone find him in 1870? I don't know if he was married by 1870 but could be. Thanks for any help.

Happy Hunting  :)  Might be lost in the two enumerations of 1870, some of those census records are very faded and faint/impossible to read.

Interesting obit with ref to stone cutters. This George Waterson was born 1825 and aged 55 years. Might be one to investigate ?
