Joseph Watterson, dod July 6, 1887, Ardglass
« on: Sunday 17 October 21 00:08 BST (UK) »
As per irishgenealogy, Joseph  Watterson died July 6, 1887 in Ardglass, parish of Arboe, Co. tyrone. His wife was Eliza Lapsley who had died Nov 21, 1882.
As per his marriage record on June 24,1869 in Arboe Church, Parish of Arboe,Joseph's father was Leonard. Joseph's residence at time of marriage was Drumeuny and that is where his children were born. As per some online trees, Joseph was baptised Mar 5,1844 and his parents were Leonard Watterson and Eliza Martin, although I have not found his baptism.
If Joseph was the son of Leonard and Eliza, his father should be alive when Joseph died as Leonard died 1892 in Cranfield. I did not find an obit for Joseph on British Newspaper Archive but if anyone can help me with Joseph's family, it would be much appreciated.
Joseph's daughter Jane was present at Joseph's death and she married Rev.Bertie Moore May 8, 1901 in Australia. Other children for Joseph were William in 1870 and Eliza in 1872.
Thank you

MOORE —WATTERSON.-- At Bishop's Chapel (St. Cross), Perth, on Wednesday, May 8th, by the Rev. C. E. C. Lefroy, assisted by the Very Rev. the Dean of Perth and the Rev. F.J. Price, Robert Henry, eldest son of J. H. Moore, Esq., County Surveyor, Meath, Ireland, to Jane, eldest daughter of Joseph Watterson, Esq., of Ardglass, County Down. Ireland.

Would you read this to mean that father of bride and father of groom are alive?

How are you descended from this WATTERSON family?
