Well thanks to you also, the Diary   has been very helpful to many people.
A point of contact about not very much at all on my part sometimes ,that is why I wander off topic but others’ news has been most interesting .
You were so careful from the start and it seemed so unfair that after all your efforts you should get Covid .

Nice to hear things are improved and still improving albeit slowly.
Daughter phoned this evening as usual .
Flash  Harry has commandeered a baby blanket I knitted for his Daddy some 30 years ago.Helping Mummy to sort out for the new baby .
He said he will need a “ BoBo “blanket when the baby comes!
Moss  stitch with double wool ,white and very pale yellow,a deep fringe all round .
My eldest son used to pluck fluff from woolies etc ,rub them on his nose whilst thumb sucking as he went to sleep.
He called a favourite his BoBo blanket .
BoBo meaning “ go to boboes” “ ie “go to sleep .”
Boboes  are nicer than sleep.

There is another blanket ,pale eau de nil and white ,the same but he wanted the yellow one .
He has a spider, plastic ,which he uses to scare  the grown ups  .
The lads at the franchise had  it  on cotton going up and down , he was not sure whether to be delighted that it had - seemingly-  become real or scared to death.
No name for the baby girl yet .
F.H. Has decided he is too big to  have  showers  ., they have a shower but no big bath tub .
Mum is getting stuff out to be familiar ,Moses basket has been out a week or two.New baby bath in bathroom so FH decided he would rather be bathed in that. He used to love it when they came here at weekends as my bath is big enough for me to drown in!
It is no matter , anything to make him feel welcoming to the baby.
He is looking forward to it .
Sad though that she won’t be able It  to ride his bike for a while as he has generously said she can have turns .
Ah well ,it will all work out.
As long as he doesn’t’t want her to go back!

I have to face my dentist as I went to another for a second opinion really about a £6,500 plan for  my teeth!
They did a couple of fillings but my oh my ,what a difference .
Yes there was a price difference but you can see why.
I thought the new one - as they did NHS dentistry - might refer me to the Dental Hospital , I had a lot of work done there ,in fact all the work was the final, practical exam for a student from Manchester  Uni. It was all photographed as it was for his practical exam.
That lasted years and only now needs replacing .
Not sure if a private Dentist would refer me.
However the new one ,although I asked to be a NHS patient ,said they had no vacancies .
It was all a mix up but the work is not good so I have to fess up when I go back to the expensive one.
So many are in big groups like “ Smile Line Dentistry Group “ etc very good for whitening, veneers etc etc , but not what I need.

Well off to bed ,to finish a rather poor book, but don’t like not finishing a book.
Hope everyone keeps well, if already  ill speedy recoveries .
Goodnight.
Viktoria.

Not much to report of late but I and 6 others in my family are of to York for 3 days on Wednesday so looking forward to that.

Seems incredible that the twins (born 6 weeks early) will be 1yr old on 1st December.   First time I ever saw them end of January was through their lounge window!   This year seems to have flown by for me - seems like just a few months since I first saw the girls but it was 9 months.

Posted the odd photo now and then but thought you might like to see another.   They were taken to the seaside at the weekend where they each had some of mummy and daddy's icecream.   I attach a photo of them sitting on a wall (and in case you start wondering, mummy and daddy were behind them making sure they didn't fall).

Daunting to hear how rife this pandemic is - will certainly be wearing mask at all times in York.

Continue to stay safe everyone.

Annette- What lovely pics of your twins, they look very Bonny… I’ll bet they loved the ice cream too!
Hope you enjoy your trip to York, a wonderful city with so much to see and do.

Viktoria - my goodness what expense for dentistry… quite eye watering sums!
The vision of FH in a baby bath made me laugh… as you say anything but wanting the baby to return! I’m sure he’ll be enthralled when she arrives.
As always your tales are always amusing and your memory is fantastic…. I had a smile about you still being a kid.. it’s what keeps us going not thinking about your age.. keep the brain active for as long as possible I say..

Candleflame - I can’t believe how your dentists are treating you quite shameful… although we had to wait some considerable time to finally get our check ups our dentist has twice fitted us in when we had emergencies thankfully!

LM - sorry to hear your friend tested positive… I quite agree with you about people not wearing face coverings inside there seem to be less and less which is probably why the numbers are up to nearly 50.000 ! Can’t be too careful.
I hope your friend doesn’t suffer to much from her chemo treatment. I’m sure she really appreciated your visit… hot water bottle and all 😂😂.

Roobarb- glad to hear you’ve got one class this week and another the next!
It must take all your powers of memory to taste your food, hope it improves … glass of 🥂 yet or not?

TY - love the Thora Hird quote… how true!

A new week stated with us having our boosters this morning… sleepless night tonight hence being on here… headache and the snuffles…  hope I don’t feel any worse in the morning as it’s OH’ birthday 😩😩, we’d not planned anything as weather looks like rain 🌧 so have to see..

Well my friend who broke her shoulder earlier this year is going in to have a complete new shoulder as the first operation (6 months ago) hasn’t worked as the bolts and plate have slipped, bone not healed as it should and her range of movement is dreadful… don’t envy her having to go through it all again!

My other friend who fell over in the garage 6 months ago too, is still suffering it’s caused her so many problems that I don’t think they know what to do with her and she’s had every test under the sun.. she’s a very petite person and I think it’s just shunted everything all over the place giving her pelvic issues and worse…

Our friend whose been going through chemo for the last 6 months is going through hell and back… ontop of everything he has a wisdom tooth that is continuing to be infected but they can’t give him anaesthetic to remove it because of the chemo! So he’s constantly in and out  of hospital with that… currently in after temp rising to 40! Ambulance arrived in 15 minutes so that was fantastic… just keeping fingers crossed they can sort it for him… he has remained remarkably chipper throughout all this… his poor wife’s exhausted…

Well must get some shut eye or will be like chewed string in the morning! Looking forward to chatting to our son and wonder whether they’ve still got the possums in the roof!

Keep safe and healthy all

Thanks for the kind messages.  Last night was back to normal and I had no problem catching the bus.
I feel so tired this morning.  There was another traffic jam and the first bus was running late again.  Again standing room only for some people but I got a seat. A lady at the bus stop was getting stressed out as she had a train to catch.
It's a grey, rainy day, but this tends to be the best weather for sleeping so I don't mind that its so dismal.  Will be home soon.

That's good that you can spend time with your friend, before her treatment Louisa Maud.  I am sure your support will be a tonic to help her cope better with what is coming up.  I hope all goes smoothly for her.
I can't believe how fast the twins are growing   Annette!    Sorry to read about the recent vertigo Roobarb, what a time you have gone through - first covid, now this.  Hope you are feeling better.
Congratulations on the win Viktoria and sorry to hear that you couldn't get the shingles jab.
I haven't quite caught up with everyone's news but send everyone best wishes on here.

Oh what a wonderful picture, those tiny lives with all the worries about their prematurity.
Really good to see them,thanks.

I feel a real woos !The things others are going through !
And yes, we are far from out of it yet ,not by any means .
I relaxed a little but feel things ought to be more cut and dried and tighter .
The trouble is I think, that people were really fed up and would have kicked over the traces anyway had there not been an easing of restrictions.

Sad to hear of so many with serious health problems .
My dentistry problems and costs are for extensive treatment ,ie a complete set of crowns on my bottom incisors .But not as important as people with Cancer and bad conditions from falls.
Damaged years ago in an accident ,at school.
The Dentist wants to do a full set of crowns ,not individual ones but my argument is ,if one fails then the whole crown will have to be removed to sort out the failed one.
Perhaps implants would be better ,I need to talk to him don’t I!
I begrudge the money, think how it would help my lovely grandchildren etc.
Not good value if I die in the next fifty years!

I am philosophical about my cancelled visit, can’t be helped and their safety is the most important.
My friend’s wonderful son has also hurt his back whilst attending to his mother.

Well not eaten yet, forgot a tablet that has to be taken at least half an hour before food, I usually give it an hour .
Ooops! Phone ,so Bye Bye !
Viktoria.

What  a  beautifully picture  of the  twins,  as  you  might  recall   I  am  a  twin, if  they  were local to  me  I  would  most  probably  have  spoken  to their  mother, can't  resit it

Hopefully  Rtl  the  bus  situation  will calm  down  a  bit, I  think  buses  seem to be back  to normal except locally to  me  where there are so  many  roads  having diversions due  to gas  or  huge  work being  done  on the roads  to the  port, been  a  long  time.

Viktoria, your  new  granddaughter  will be  a  Scorpio, lovely  people  !!!,.  Hope  all  goes  well when the  time  comes

Sun  out after  a  dull start, washing  to go  out methinks

Take  care

Oh yes! Mum and Dad are both May as is Flash Harry and I am too.
OH was Sagittarius ,Nov 26 th- now he was something else!
Daughter is on the cusp, 22 Nov .
Number one son 12 June t’other 16 April .

Still no name , I try not to suggested ,did not really like F,H’s at first but not my baby and can remember my fierce M in L’s scorn at my choice for our first baby ,quite upset me but it meant a lot as good associations with people of that name.He has lived up to the good things they had in their  characters.
I like FH’s now because it is HIM of course.
So whatever the little girl is named it will grow on me  and  if it doesn’t well I shall go  and boil my head as I have no right to any opinion about it.
You see Gemini ,two, people in one!

Candleflame, I'm not happy with dentists, either.
As a child I developed a good technique with dentists, that I last threatened one with shortly before Covid took off.
When I was a child, and the dreadful (School clinic) dentist woman started to do something that really HURT - I closed my jaws hard on her fingers. It stopped her, and she shouted at me for biting her. I said I didn't know what she was doing, (she'd suddenly moved from one part of my mouth to another) but it hurt, and IF I'd known what she was doing, and why, I wouldn't have tried to stop her in order to tell her she was hurting me (I'm damn sure she knew she was hurting, and didn't care )
From time to time I've said to various dentists that I need to know exactly what they are doing, and why, and sometimes I must admit I've said "And I'll bite down if you don't, until you explain".
And a couple of years ago, I gently but firmly closed my jaws on the dentist's fingers, for that very reason.
It worked.
He has been very careful to explain exactly what, and where, and why, he's doing things.
(Actually I had one appointment for a damaged filling earlier this year, and another one coming up, so there's not been any problem getting treatment, even though it costs a fortune - no NHS dentist accessible.)
