Richard Hender and Jane Perne/Pearne/Pernell 1633 Bodmin
« on: Monday 18 October 21 11:22 BST (UK) »
Good morning.
My very first time on Rootschat so hello all and nice to 'meet' other researchers.
I am trying to verify that Richard and Jane were the parents of Joseph Hender/Hendre, born 16th October 1646.
On the OPC all I can find is 'Prinal' for the mother of Joseph. The OPC have been super and it was suggested that this could have been Jane Pernell [Perne/Pearne?].Richard and Jane Perne did have other children so need to confirm Josephs siblings to be sure.
I realise with accents as they were and still are, hearing and spelling can be different !
If I do have it correct, I have got back as far as Frauncis [FFrauncis} 1535.
Having realised that if all bits of info out there are collated/cross matched we can help each other.
Take care, Cheryl [Hender].

Do you think they are connected to your Hender ??  Botreaux Castle to Bodmin is 19 miles ...

SIR JOHN HENDER B 1554 at Bottreaux Castle

looks like you are from French noble blood ... :)

Hello there.
How exciting I got a reply from someone out there in the ether !!
Thanks ever so much for your info. If these two are indeed Josephs father then I am well pleased to have got back to this date and will try to find Richards father.
Take care and keep up the good work.
Cheryl

Hello to garstonite.
I spent weeks on gathering as much info as I could on the Bottreaux lot and imagined, as you say, could be Royal blood in my veins...sadly it's just [fairly unusual O Negative] but not Royal.
I seem to remember that there was only a daughters line and the male line ran out ?
Anyway, I now realise that my lot were a rather poor bunch mostly Bodmin and surrounds and didn't make any money till they moved across the border into Devon, not like my hubs whose line were Hugenot silk weavers come over from the Netherlands and France to avoid religious persecution.
So many thanks...are you a Hender by the way ?
Take care,
Cheryl
