Ellen not consistent with age - how old was she on the marriage certificate?

1881 age 30 born Burtonwood
1891 age 47 born Burtonwood
1901 age 49 born Burtonwood
1911 age 63 born Burtonwood

at least birth place is consistent

1891 age has a mark through it but the others are clearly written.

I would suggest that the age in 1891 was actually 41?

Thanks Rosie.

How old was the brother Richard you found?

Perhaps we can find a birth for him to cross check mothers names.

There's a John Kilshaw death here

Mar 1869 Warrington age 45.  If by chance it was railway related he may be in newspapers.

Thank you for all the replies so far. I have looked at different spellings and name variations but it hasnít helped.

I did look into the Ellen aged 13 who was living with her brother but ruled her out but I cannot remember the reason. I will have another look at that to see if I can remember.

Possible in 1861 living with brother Richard in Newton in Makerfield, Warrington

Piece  2787
Folio 69

Ellen   Kelsell age 13 bn Burtonwood, Lancashire

Brother Thomas aged 19 also present. Birthplace for all 3 was Burtonwood.
Possible birth registration Thomas Kilshaw 1841 St. Helens.
Possible baptisms for them, found via Ancestor Search on LAN-OPC:
All at St. Michael & All Angels, Burtonwood. Surname Kelsall. Parents Thomas & Mary. abode Burtonwood. 1831 Richard, 1845 Thomas, 1848 Ellen. Plus more children.
There was another Thomas & Mary having children baptised at the church in earlier decades.
https://www.lan-opc.org/uk/Burtonwood/index.html
Browsing surname indexes to St. Michael church registers on LAN-OPC, there were loads of Kelsall baptisms, a few Kelshall, Kilsall, Kilshall, Kilshaw. Speculating that local pronunciation may have been Kellsall but last letters may not always have been pronounced clearly.

There was a family transcribed as Kilshall in Burtonwood on 1851 census with father John Junior
+ sons Richard and Thomas but boys ages don't correspond with brothers Richard and Thomas on 1861 census in Newton in Makerfield.
Another variant which came up in census is Culshaw.
