Help needed on finding right family

Hi there,

I wonder if any body can help. In 1895 I have a Margaret Jane Aitken marrying a William Black. Now Margaret is born in 1875 Blackhill Durham. So this is where i am stuck I have found a birth saying father Thomas Aitken & mother is Jane saying mother maiden name is Moss. on findmypast, but when I have put info on ancestry it comes up with father David Aitken & mother Annebell Smith , I can see this family in 1871 also with daughter same name. Is there any way I can get a marriage cert of her marrying William black so I get her fathers name any help would be great thanks

In 1895 Margaret Jane Aitken either marries William Black or George Henry Denton, in Tynemouth Northumberland (10b 373)

hamali - what do you know to be absolutely correct?  Margaret marrying William Black or Margaret having Thomas Aitken as a parent ?

Hi there

This is the info I have at mo In 1933 Margaret Smith was born in tynemouth on her birth cert says dad is Thomas Grant Smith & mum is a Margaret Jane Black. I have birth cert so part is right. Thomas is down as a motor mechanic.

So my research I found  in 1911 a Margaret Jane Black born 1908 dad down as William Black & mum down as Margaret Jane from blachill Durham

And looking at the birth index of THomas William Aitken (youngest sibling of Margaret's on the 1891 census) - his mmn is given as Moss

Margaret Jane Aitken (Mar qtr 1875) Durham 10 395 also has MMN as Moss
