Robert Quinn of Tyrone attestation record
« on: Tuesday 02 November 21 23:06 GMT (UK) »
Hi. Just joined the forum and this is my first post. I was wondering if someone could possibly access the attestation record
Name Robert Quinn
Enlistment age: 18  Birth date: abt 1873
Birth Place: Errigle Keirogue, Tyrone
Enlistment: 1891.   Regiment: Royal Inns Fus
Regimental no: InnsFus/3756
I am trying to determine if this is my great-uncle.
Thanks in advance,
Geraldine.

Thank you both so much. Safe to say this is my Robert. Do the records possibly say where he was discharged?. I have discovered his brother Isaac was discharged in Capetown, South Africa.

Thanks Kiltaglassan. Sorry I’m not very technical so unable to put any links I have found online. Will get my grandson to show me ( AGAIN). There are 11 siblings in total that I have the birth records for. Five I have death records for and some military records as well.
The brothers listed below are the ones I am stumped with
John Watson Quinn  b1868
Robert Quinn b1872
Isaac Quinn b1874
Thomas Quinn b1875
Alexander Quinn b1884 (trail went cold after 1901 census Leoville Street Belfast)

They were all born Ballygawley area. Thought that possible military records might give me a few clues.
Looks like Roberts sister Sarah (born 1866) is still living in 1891.

Once again thank you .

Geraldine.
