Looking for birth of Ellen MULFORD, b. ca.1852, Eversley, Hampshire

I am trying to find the birth data of Ellen MULFORD.
I find her in the 1861 census, with parents Henry and Catherine, as born in 1852, with two brothers.
In the 1871 census, same birth year, two brothers and one sister.
I tried in vain to find Ellen in the GRO birth database. I did find her brothers and sister from 1871, which gave me the MMN of Nobes.

Ellen marries in 1871 George Ellis. I find her (as Ellen Ellis) in the 1939 "census" with DOB given as 12 Aug 1854.

Even with that additional information, I seem to be unable to find her birth in the GRO index. Any help is highly appreciated.

Henry Mulford married Catherine Nobes in 1849. It might be worth finding them in 1851 in case Ellen is older than stated (ie born in 1852 as stated on the 1861.

There are NO children with them in 1851 - only a brother of Henry's, Charles Mulford.

Tony -- I had wondered about adoption also.

If Henry and Catherine's first 2 children had died - maybe they adopted the baby girl - then DID have surviving children of their own. Pure supposition of course!

Ellen Nobes only appears in the 1851 census with parents Richard and Ann in Crondall, Hampshire.

Possible marriage for that Ellen Nobes at Farnham RD in 1864, she marries William Newell.  In 1881 her place of birth is Crondall and she is age 34
