I'm not sure if this has already been flagged up but I've just had an email through to say there is free access to Fold3 this weekend...up until Sunday midnight

Thanks for posting this Chris, I have a few things lined up to view on Fold3.

This will keep me busy while Findmypast are sorting the problem of accessing their records  ::)

Thanks for letting us all know Chris. What day does it start, have you got a link or do we have to access it through Ancestry.com?

The email just says free access this weekend until 14 November. Registration is required.
It doesn't say you have to go through Ancestry

Well good luck with that, I was asked to login to Ancestry when I was already logged in, I couldn't remember password so got a new code emailed, used it and created a new password, a message came up "Success"  I pressed continue and got the same login for email and password, I gave up after 3 attempts  each time it asked me to sign in with Ancestry and I got the same login page :(

Hi Carol, I first logged into Ancestry and selected the Fold3 record I wanted to view from there.  When I clicked on it I was then asked to log in with my Fold3 login, I could then view the original record.

Hope this helps.
