New database - The Irish Great War Dead Archive
« on: Thursday 11 November 21 19:55 GMT (UK) »
A new database has been released by Tipperary County Council Library Service, based on extensive research carried out by Military Historian and author, Tom Burnell. The database contains the names and other information about Servicemen with connections to Ireland who died in the Great War, 1914-1918, or as a result of injuries received. Presently, the collection lists Servicemen of the Republic of Ireland, while work to record the names from the six counties of Northern Ireland continues. The database contains not only information from military records but also information from newspaper archives, books etc.

A fantastic resource....sincere thanks to Tom Burnell and to Tipperary County Council.
