GEORGE HEATH murdered 1944
Some more details:

The actual 'murder' took place in Hammersmith Road, central London. He was driving a Taxi.
The criminal couple shot him there, then drove west with the body for 15 minutes and dumped him.

So 'Staines' isn't necessarily important, when searching for a burial place.
Neither is Epsom/Ewell, since he had already given up the family home.

He was working around Battersea, it seems, and this is (presumably) where his friends at the time would have lived?

Friends may well have paid for the funeral, but who would have chosen the specific burial place, and for what reasons?

It was still war-time, 1944.  He definitely had family in London, inc. a brother born 1917.

Your thoughts please...

If Battersea was his stamping ground and his friends were from that area baring in mind he wasn't with his wife then possibly the friends would arrange where the funeral took place, especially if they were paying for it.

Thank you

...he who pays the piper calls the tune..

I've been given a possible (1939) address for George Heath (chauffeur) as: 12 Sangora Road Battersea. That's SW11 1RL.

Any friends he had would probably be locally based?

So where might they be thinking of, as a likely and available resting place, quite close by?

The newspaper report of the inquest gave George's address at the time as 146 Kennington Park Road, Kennington, SE.

Another newspaper report in The Daily Mirror 10 October 1944 also says he was lodging at Kennington Park Road, Kennington and his landlady was a Mrs. Reid.  It also said "Friends at the Kennington garage where he worked said he liked a flutter on the horses....."    I wonder if these were the friends who planned to pay for his funeral (also reported by the Daily Mirror)

Splendid, thank you.
The family has confirmed he was lodging in Kennington.
Also that his girlfriend was from Pimlico, just across the river.

Taxi/chauffeur - he needed a car - therefore Kennington Garage is a valuable lead...
Where exactly was it...  who worked there...?
Where would they think of choosing, for burial?

He had family close by too, I can see aunts in Brixton Hill, Lambeth etc

Yet another report in the Daily Mirror 12 October 1944 says "George Heath left his garage in Hercules Street, London SE on Friday night to take out his car for his private hire service, fully intending to return in the morning to keep a date with his girlfriend."

Looking at a map, I believe this is probably Hercules ROAD, just off Kennington Road near the railway line.

Not sure if this was the garage where he worked or a garage where he kept his vehicle.

Maybe some ideas here.

https://enablelc.org/bereavement/cemeteries/

I think contacting Wandsworth Cemeteries as suggested by Jaywit is the next step the family should take.

Looking at Hercules Road on Street View there is a row of Railway Arches along one side, in all probability that would be where the Garage was.
