Presumably you have checked the newspapers & cemeteries for Epsom & Ewell

Have you checked the crematorium at Hanworth as that would be the nearest one to Staines where he was found.

Makes sense! Thank you.

Which is why I am seeking a photo of the exact George E Heath who was shot/murdered in 1944.
Newspaper reports of the time contain a confusing & conflicting array of supposed 'facts'.
Also, online articles compiled and offered as historical truth regarding this murder are not necessarily correct.

Does anyone have a photo of the correct Mr Heath, please?

And please may I know the family history structure - who was Geo. E Heath's father, whom did he marry etc. ?
I am pretty sure I can help, given a little more information.

Likely it is this chap
Sep 1945 Essex south western 4a 162
Heath, George Edward
age 62

Four other names with the same GRO ref, probate and burials for a few which suggest a timing of mid August.

Epsom Cemetery transcriptions are on the Epsom & Ewell History Explorer website.
George doesn't appear to be there.
https://eehe.org.uk/?cat=38

They do have a page on The Cleft Chin Murder
https://eehe.org.uk/?p=28286

And, as Rosie said, George might have been cremated.
