Help Please - Need to find where my Grandfather George E Heath is buried!

Good Afternoon,

My Grandfather George Edward Heath was murdered in 1944 in a very high profile case dubbed The Cleft Chin Murder. Over the years we have obtained evidence with the help of the authorities. However 1 important piece of information is still missing. Where was George put to rest. I think his funeral was on Friday 27th October 1944 somewhere in London but we cannot seem to get the answer as George's son (my dad) and myself would like to pay our respect. He was found dead in Knowle Green, Staines, his family were in Ewell.  Have you tried cemeteries in the Epsom / Ewell area.

He was found dead on 7th Oct 1944 but his death was not registered until the March qtr 1945

The death wouldn't have been registered until the inquest was concluded. The body could have been released for burial much earlier, it depends how long the police needed to keep it.

Thank you, even the National Archives and Scotland Yard didn't know where he is buried. I'll let you know if anything discovered.

No idea if this is the correct one but there is a George Edward Heath burial record on Deceasedonline.
17 August 1945 at Newham. Charges are £1.50 for grave details, £2.00 for burial register scan and £2.50 for map of grave location.
