Opinions on a couple of parish register entries please.

I need a new set of eyes or several, please. Can I have opinions on words and a phrase in the two attached images?

The first, my guess is "Joseph Merrywhether talor" (tailor) his occupation?

The second, "Eliz the Daughter of Robt and Elizth Moss Hufbn (husbandman?)

And the text to the right of the entry, below the year 1713: This has (had?) ? have been forgot?

Joseph merrywhether Saler was Buryed...

The second actually has a superscript d:  Husb^dn

It's hard to think what else it could be.

Perhaps:  this had lik to have been forgot

I'm not fully confident however.

Thank you. I missed the superscript "d". Quite obvious now, and has to be husbandman.

Re "Salor". I've attached another section from the same page in the same handwriting. It seems to me that the writer's "s" generally differs from the character at the start of the word after Merreywhether, but his j's and t's are similar in several places. The j's all have a short downstroke to the left of the main stroke though. Look at the "t" in "thomass" on the first line though. It's identical apart from a feint cross stroke at half height. On the other hand, compare it to the "t" at the end of the word "first", bottom right of the image, which is completely different!

The parish in question is Nettleham, just to the north-east of Lincoln. I suppose he could have been a boatman on the River Witham though.

I see your point.  I have noticed that the T in Thomass actually has a faint cross stroke at the top, heading predominantly to the left.

Very faintly, the beginning of the same cross stroke can be seen on the burial.  So I agree it's most likely to be Taler.
