Thank you RJ137 for this marriage and divorce articles. I wonder which child that Edward was granted custody for in 1905 - guessing son Ralph.

There is a tree online which has the death of Maud Waterson as Mar 23, 1886 so she was just 7 yr. old. Her brother William Charles Waterson/Watterson died June 14, 1941 in Canton, Ohio, wife Elizabeth A. Wenning. I was sent Goldie's death certificate for Apr 23, 1950 in Los Angeles. Says widowed but she was using her maiden name instead of Von Spiegel whom she married in 1905. There is another tree that says James B. Von Spiegel died Dec 26, 1954 in Placer, California. Where they were between marriage and deaths, I don't know.

Marriage 1919 - James B VonSpiegel - born 1882 Schenectady, New York - aged 37 years. Had been married once previously. Divorced Arizona February 1917.

Spouse Oressa Gillespie born 1891 and aged 28 years.
Spouse Father Thomas - Spouse Mother: Martha Polk.

It would appear that James had been married more than once previously when he married in 1919., because Sarah’s mother in 1901 was Foley. . Then James married Goldie in 1905 and it was probably Goldie that he was divorced from in 1917.
Next of kin for WW1draft was his father.
