Dorset Family History Society is hosting an on-line Zoom talk on Tuesday 18th January 2022 from 7.30pm - 9.15pm (approx.)
ON-LINE SPEAKER is MYKO CLELLAND with a talk entitled ‘INTRODUCING THE 1921 CENSUS OF ENGLAND & WALES’.
At last the 1921 Census of England and Wales is here at the start of 2022!
Myko Cleveland from Findmypast will lead the meeting for an unmissable exploration of the biggest new arrival in family history. After years spent digitising and transcribing this unique snapshot of our recent history, he will help us discover the stories and secrets contained within. Along with the historical context, tips for effective searching and using it to trace elusive relatives, we will learn how the 1921 Census will help us to understand our ancestors’ lives better, and our own.
Myko Clelland is genealogist, spokesperson & regional licensing manager for Findmypast, regularly discussing family history on television, radio, online & in print. He holds a Masters degree in genealogy with distinction and is a qualified adult education teacher with over 500 worldwide speaking appearances, from Oxford University to The National Archives, National Library of Wales, RootsTech, The Society of Genealogists, Society of Australian Genealogists, Auckland Family History, Who Do You Think You Are? Live & many regional archives & local family history groups.

Those who do not receive E-News, or who are not Society Members, are welcome to join this meeting and should access the talk by emailing
liaison@dorsetfhs.org.uk from the week before. An invitation will be sent out with sign in details of how to sign in to Zoom from 7.15pm on the night for a 7.30pm start.
