Eliazer Davies
« on: Tuesday 23 November 21 18:32 GMT (UK) »
Trying to find connection of Eliazer Davies born 1849 with possible father Willliam and mother  Elizabeth (nee Lewis). There were other children from this family: John, David, Mary, and William. It is thought that Eliazer was born in Eglwysilan, Glamorgan.

Looks like the family on the 1851 census in Nantgarw….
William and Elizabeth with children John, David, Eliazer (born Eglwysilan in 1849) and Mary.

Possible marriage in 1898 in Pontypridd to Polly Reakes or Mary Ann Davies. Vol 11a, page 567 (though there is a younger Eleazer Davies too).

Welcome to Rootschat -- he may have been shown as Eli on the General Register Office website - with a birth Q/E March 1849, mother's maiden name Lewis.

(There was also a George with the same mother's maiden name born Q/E March 1851, same Quarter end as Mary - but not on that 1851 census, so George may not have survived OR it's a different set of parents with the same surnames.)

Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Polly aka Mary Ann Reakes married William Phipps. There's a family on 1901 and 1911 which fits - children with mmn Reakes
