Street Address, Copenhagen
« on: Friday 26 November 21 11:10 GMT (UK) »
From the 1870 Danish Census I have the residence address of:

Forhuus 1 Sal Til Hoire 1 Sal Til Qvister

I have tried Dutch to English translation and have also tried google but without success.

I hope a rootschatter will be able to help.

Thanks

Did you mean Danish to English?

I think the 2nd part should read "Sal Til Højre" - Hall to the right.
Forhus means Anteroom?

Transcription looking very dodgy?!!

Hopefully someone fluent in Danish will confirm census details but have come across similar for Copenhagen before ('front room,' etc. descriptions common with shared houses in cities).
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
