North Wales/Wrexham marriage records

Two of my ancestors , George Lloyd and Mary Rogers, were married in Wrexham on December 31st 1833. 

Theirs and the adjacent records I have looked at say "married .... with consent of Friends". Does anyone know anything about this form of consent? Was it unique to Wales?

Added - However on the records you refer to all the couples for a number of years appear to have been married with the consent of friends so it cannot relate to the young age of couples

I see that all the marriages on that page are 'with consent of friends'. I think that the thread that Kay refers to has a post that mentions that if it was a new vicar/curate he might think that that was the usual form for the church.

It was C of E and all entries on the page were in the same format.

This has come up before - With Marriage entries in a parish register, some parishes had these pre-printed forms with 'with consent of' whilst others had the pre-printed form without that phrase. Where the couple didn't actually need consent, they put in 'of friends' in some cases whilst in others it was just ignored.

I have looked at a random selection of pages from 1 to 175 of this particular parish marriage records (covering 1832-37) and all appear to read "with consent of Friends". I managed to locate a similar set for Ruabon nearby and the consent of ... is left blank right throughout. As someone indicated, perhaps it was just how the clergyman decided to fill in the details.
