No, we aren't getting far at all. Edward Moran certainly hasn't helped!

From Isobel

The Annie Moran above age 25,  married John Lee on 18 June 1881 in Blackburn, she gave birth to John William Lee in 1882, the address where their son was born is 46 George St. West Blackburn according to the birth certificate, which is the same address that the above Edward & Margaret Moran and family were living on the 1881 census.

I just looked the Henry Pritt/Ann Moran marriage up
Ann Moran’s address is Back George Street W  ::)

Jon asks re James Moran
Baptism 20th October 1878 born 4th October 1878
James Moran son of Ann Moran
Godparent Kate Carroll

I think the ‘W’ is Witton not West Blackburn

**correction Edward and Margaret are at George Street West.

Hi
So her father is Patrick, according to the marriage.
They are in Back George Street in 1881, with Ann Moran age 21.
Name spelt as Moarn in 1871 in Blackburn? Ann age 13? She may have reduced her age after marrying Henry Pritt!
I can't really get anything on the Ann you found in 1871, sister in law to Margaret Moran nee O'Dowd. :(
Though, yes, perhaps place of birth was wrong. Something seems to be!

There are lots of Morans in Blackburn, Ormskirk and Lancashire in general.

Morans in Lancashire and Mayo = needles in haystacks. Look at a haystack in either place in the 19th century and there was probably a Moran forking hay onto it.  :)

Was Ann Moran who married John Lee a different Ann Moran to the wife of Henry Pritt?
A suggestion. There may have been 2 related women named Ann Moran living at George Street.

It could well be that, as was often the case, people went to live amongst their own.

Surely she didn't die in 1984.
