Alan & Jean TABBS
« on: Thursday 02 December 21 07:45 GMT (UK) »
Due to a family bereavement, I have been asked to try and trace above couple, possibly around Bristol area, and possibly with connections to New Zealand.
I have no further information, but suggest if they are still alive, they are seriously elderly.
I thought I might turn up a marriage and go from there, but didn't find anything yet.
Not sure what to do next??
Can anyone help?

Hi Mowsehowse,

Long shot I know, but could Tabbs have been registered as Tubbs and Jean as Joan in 1941 marriage?

Absolutely no clue RTL... but thanks.
I have looked on Freebmd, FamilySearch and Ancestry, and come to the same questions as you.
Will try and get more info to narrow the field if I can.

What about current electoral rolls and phone books? ...
Is there any way to access them?

A probate search via UK Wills Online reveals an entry, for 'Grant and Will', for an Alan Edward TUBBS - who died on 11th January 2003.

His wife may still be alive as a) there is no corresponding entry for her in the probate index & b) a search via Companies House for: TUBBS (UK) LTD (04207405) mentions her as an Active Director.

If we are going with Tubbs rather than Tabbs then they appear to have had one child who died last year.

Born 1945, died 21 July 2020.  The death is on find my past.
