Grandfather’s Imperial Yeomanry Record
« on: Saturday 11 December 21 01:26 GMT (UK) »
Hi I was wondering is anyone could possibly find Imperial Yeomanry record for my Grandfather
William James Quinn
D.o.b. April 1870
 Born Ballygawley, Tyrone.
I believe his service number was 11138 60th Squadron 1900-1903
I got some details from the Military Campaign medals and award rolls, foreign service included Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, Egypt and South Africa.
Other records found for him Army Service Corp 138448  in 1916
                                          RAF 89195 in 1917

Thanks in advance
Geraldine

Shaun thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my post, it is really appreciated. Unfortunately the image has been blurred with an attachment saying I need to subscribe to Fold3/findmypast.  I took the plunge a few months back and subscribed to Ancestry Worldwide thinking it covered everything…..silly me lol.
According to family folklore he also served in the New York Police but that’s another puzzle as he appears in the 1901 and 1911 census in Ireland, joined the services in 1916/1917 and married my grandmother in 1919.
Once again thank you for your help.
Geraldine
