Pubs or Beer Houses on Porter Street Liverpool (1851 Cesnsus)
« on: Wednesday 15 December 21 08:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

Trying to find out the actual name of a Beer House or Pub located in Porter Street, Liverpool on the night of the 1851 Census, The owner is a Mr Richard Pickup bn approx 1814.

Address appears to be  No 2 Porter Street, although i could be wrong ?

My great great grandmother (Esther Bridge 1827-1896) was working there as a servent.

Ref H.O. 107/2177 Folio 255 Page 44

Did try to post this earlier with attached image of Census frame, but it may have got stuck in system or i just made a mistake ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Several newspaper references 1847-1861 for Richard Pickup, Manchester Arms, 123 Great Howard Street.
1861 census Richard Pickup at 125 Great Howard Street
