I did an 'arty' version - trying to convey the blacksmith  :)

I think somewhere there's a classic blacksmith's apron but not enough detail showing to be sure.

Late 1890s into early 1900s looks most likely.

He seems a mature man to me, not a youth, maybe around 30? The moustache might make him look older than he was.

Out of curiosity, is your name the same as the mountain - Suilven -  near Lochinver, in North West Scotland?  I climbed it a few times when we lived up there. I think it means pillar ??
