Hi. I would love if anyone would be able to put an approximate date to this photo of my gg grandfather and maybe restore it in any way you might see fit, many thanks!  :)

hi carol, there is nothing on the back and john was born in 1876. thanks  :)

Late 1890s into early 1900s looks most likely.

he definitely could have been injured, he worked as a blacksmith and a general labourer for the majority of his life so getting an injury was fairy possible i suppose.
