The address in High Wycombe is occupied by Ellen's uncle George Dedman and family. Her aunt is a maternity nurse. So Ellen was possibly sent from Berkshire to go and stay with her aunt for the birth.

You may have not have seen this I had edited whilst red writing so our post probably crossed - reply 23

EDIT to add - there is this record National School Admission Registers & Log-Books 1870-1914

Stanley A DEADMAN
Parent or guardian name(s) Willm
Address 108 Liverpool
Birth  22 Feb 1910
School name New Town Primary School
Event year 3 11 13
There has been a crossing out and surname Deadman written above
I can’t make out first name crossed out along with the name Victor
? Victor Stanley A
if you have access here's the link http://www.rootschat.com/links/01r52/

Unfortunately I couldn't see an entry for Betty/Bessie Georgina Annetts/Dedman :(

Only just seen this! The crossed out word looks like Hanets. Possibly the schoolmaster was originally told his surname was Annetts which the family pronounced with an H at the beginning. They do it on censuses too!

Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

I think this is Ellen Eliza Dedman named as Prosie with parents & siblings
1911 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X7LF-PJB

A bit odd that her place of birth is given as Land's End Cornwall!
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt

Hi LizzieL,
Purely as a matter of interest, I lived in Earley just outside Reading and as kids after the war  we would often ride over to Woodley, Hurst, Sonning areas and there was, & I believe still exists, an area called Lands End. It certainly shows on my maps.

I wonder if someone just assumed it was Cornwall.

Thanks, Alan, that makes a lot more sense.
Looking at the original image, it looks as if all the entries have been completed in pencil and inked over. Hence Bessie becoming Prosie. It looks as if Lands End was written originally without any county following it. So whoever went over the entries in ink assumed Cornwall as you suggest.

that Jack would be too young, presuming Jack was also Victor Stanley's father. Also they are the Gloucestershire Annetts. To be related Jack (probably John) has got to have come from Berkshire, preferably Chilton. Bessie's grandson has a 30 cM / 2 segments match to me.
