Two tiny photos - need to be resized for identification (a long shot)
« on: Thursday 30 December 21 16:24 GMT (UK) »
I have two tiny photos that purportedly show my great aunt.....both are tiny!
I have tried using GIMP to make them larger but have been unable to do so successfully.
The first is 187 x 278 pixels (96dpi) and the second is 360 x 238 pixels (96dpi).
I have much bigger (and better quality) photos to compare with but am a loss as to how to do so.
I have doubts as to whether my aunt is actually in the 'group of three' while I'd love to be able to identify her in the photo with the larger group.
I know this request is neither for colouring / restoration nor colouring but any help would be appreciated.

Are you able to re-scan the originals to get a better DPI range ?

Regards

Sarah

The first one enlarged x3

Second one needs special software.

I've tried the second one in an AI app but too small really.

I think that App over smoothed  my effort of that one, japeflakes. I've tried some sharpening.
Andy or one of the others might have some better software for enlarging.

The first one enlarged quite well but this one is so small and pixelated that it's nightmare-ish
