What happened to Eugene?

I am wondering what happened to a distant cousin of mine Eugene G Adams, who is listed in NSW BDM as:

parents:
WILLIAM J
MARY
place of reg: WATERLOO

I suspect the G may have stood for George as he had a paternal uncle of that name in England from where his father emigrated as a youngster.

his parents were William Jospeh Walter Adams (1854-1948) b. London, d. Petersham NSW
and Mary E Donaldson (1861-1906) b Goulburn NSW, d Hurstville NSW

I cannot find him in any death records, or marriage records, electoral roll records and grave searches have been patchy.

? Wondering if he died as a child and death was never registered?

His parents had four children that I can find:

William HJ Adams ( Who I can also find no definite information for except a birth entry, as the name is so generic )

yes, you have the correct father's death listed here.

It appears from the children listed that Eugene is not mentioned. Either he died at birth or they are the wrong Mary and William Adams as parents.

Seems strange that they registered his birth as required by law, and probably as Catholics had him baptised, but no sign of a death registration (that I can find)
Have you looked for Catholic parish registers for that part of Sydney?
