help with parents address on marriage record

hi , im looking for a bit of help deciphering the parents' address on this marriage cert, im almost sure it has something to do with the fact they are passed away, but id love a fresh pair of eyes to look at it. thanks!

the marriage took place on 30 July 1871 between Michael mcdonnell and Margaret Duncan

I think it says 'Mortus' (maybe 'mortui'?) which means they are dead, or at least the father was - I'm not 100% if it also meant the mother was also dead.
