« on: Sunday 02 January 22 14:17 GMT (UK) »
Looking for

Hannah Reece born in July 1896 in Ohio, USA.

She’s the late Grandmother of a DNA match to me, and we’re trying to find the link.

Cheers Romilly.

Many thanks RJ137, I was forgetting about family search records!

I was hoping to find a link back to England, but it’s not clear where Hannah Reece’s Parents were from…?

Just noticed that they were both from Wales!!

Romilly.

Thanks so much Sandra, - greatly appreciated!

I can see the link now, John Rees was the elder brother of my Grandmother Margaret Rees. His Parents were Evan Rees and Margaret Davies, myGreat Grandparents from Morriston, Swansea, Wales.

That explains the DNA match between myself and John Rees’s GreatGranddaughter in Florida!

Romilly  :D ;D :)

Fascinating Sandra, - thanks so much.

I knew that two of my Grandmother’s sisters emigrated to the USA and I’ve followed Sarah Anne Phillips, (nee Rees) to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but I hadn’t known that John Rees, (born 1859) the eldest of the siblings, had also emigrated to the USA,  but to Ohio.

Best Wishes Romilly.
